Zumba Gold

Zumba Gold is a free dance and exercise class for adults.  Zumba instructor Cecelia will keep participants moving and engaged with gentle, easy to follow dance movements that will leave you feeling refreshed and invigorated.  Participants of all abilities are encouraged to take part in this active and engaging program.  Participants with limited mobility can fully participate in the class while seated or holding onto a chair for support.  Registration not required

Wild Palette Art Classes: Adult/Senior - Personalized Art Lessons

Beginner through advanced artists choose their medium of interest: watercolor, acrylic, pencil, or pastels and work at their own pace to produce a masterpiece. The Open Program (OP) balances traditional martial arts training with modern fitness principles. The OP is designed for kids and adults to enhance self-esteem, build confidence, develop discipline and learn self-defense while strengthening mind and body.

The Kickboxing program includes self-defense, mixed combination of boxing and kicking, as well as conditional, weight, agility and core training. The objective is to increase core awareness and to achieve high performance and coordination while increasing mind and body focus.

Tai Chi Classes

Wednesdays | 11:30 am
Tai Chi is a form of exercise that began as a Chinese tradition.  It is based on martial arts and involves gentle movements and strength.  Each class is led by a Tai Chi enthusiast and includes simple warm up exercises and movements based on the Yang style of Tai Chi. Pre-registration not required

Pickleball - Third Friday Pickle Party

Get ready for the ultimate pickle extravaganza every third Friday of the month.  Join a community of pickleball enthusiasts as they gather for a thrilling evening of pickleball play.  The pickle party alternates between Open-Play and Dinks and Drinks programs.  On open-play nights, players stack their paddles in the rack and play against random opponents throughout the night.  On Dinks and Drinks nights, players play a round robin tournament and will be paired with qualified opponents.  Space is limited, participants must pre-register.

Pickleball Open-Play

Get outdoors and play for free! Pickleball is a wildly popular sport that everyone can play.  This open-play program allows players to drop in and join other pickleball enthusiasts.  No reservations required.  When players arrive, they place their pickleball paddle in the paddle rack to determine the order of play.  When a team finishes their game, the owners of the next set of paddles in the rack come on the court for their game.  For more information contact Gloria Zoghbi

The Pickleball Club is designed to bring players together in a recreation and social atmosphere.  All players are welcome. Joining the Pickleball Club is a great way to meet fellow players and hone in your skills by playing with a variety of other players.  Space is limited, participants must register each new quarter to participate. A new quarter begins on the first of June, September, December and March.

Line Dancing

These fun-filled classes teach the basic patterns and steps for line dancing, with no experience necessary. Come ready to have fun and dance as part of the group while developing your individualized dance moves. Line dancing is not just about the boot-scooting footwork, it involves the whole body in each one-hour lesson.

Game Day Fridays

Bring your friends and join in on the fun.  Every Friday, canasta players meet and challenge one another (must know how to play American Canasta).  Canasta not your thing? No problem, bring your friends to play any game you like.  Participants are welcome to bring your own games or borrow one of ours.  No registration necessary.

AARP Driver Safety Course

The AARP Smart Driver is the Nation's first and largest refresher course designed specifically for drivers age 50 and older.  For more than 35 years, the course has taught over 16 million motorists proven safety strategies so they can continue driving safely for as long as possible.  Plus, after taking the course, drivers could be eligible for a multi-year discount on their auto insurance.

El Curso de Seguridad para Conductores de AARP puede ayudarte a actualizar tus habilidades de conducción, tu conocimiento de las normas de tránsito y, posiblemente, ahorrarte dinero en el seguro de auto. Hay unprecio de inscripción de $5 para reservar tu lugar. El día de la clase, hay un de $20 para miembros de AARP y una tarifa de $25 para no miembros de AARP. El espacio es limitado.

AARP Driver Safety Course can help refresh your driving skills, knowledge of rules of the road, and potentially save you money on car insurance.  There is a $5 registration fee to reserve your spot.  On the day of the class, there is a $20 fee for AARP members, and a $25 fee for non-AARP members.  Space is limited.

Chair Yoga

Alzheimer's Caregivers Group

Second Friday of every month | 12:30 - 2 pm
Conducted by trained facilitators, the Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Support Group is a safe place for caregivers, family, and friends of a person with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other other related cognitive diseases to develop a support system, exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions, talk through issues, and discover ways of coping.  Lunch is included.  No registration required

Are you an expert in history, art, or culture?  Do you have knowledge or skills you would like to share with others? Let us know, and become part of the community knowledge series.  The Parks and Recreation Department seeks individuals who want to share their experiences and knowledge during a monthly one-hour lecture series.
