Communications

The Communications Division works under the Office of the Village Manager and is the division responsible for the Village's communication efforts.  The Communications Division connects, engages and unites the community through creative, accurate and innovative communication that enhances the Village’s brand. The division oversees the Village’s communication strategies including digital content, website development, social media outreach and management, creative services, photography and videography.

Pinecrest Sun Magazine

The Communications Division designs, edits and publishes a quarterly magazine called the Pinecrest Sun that is mailed to every household in Pinecrest.

Communications Manager

Michelle Hammontree, CPC

mh.jpg Michelle Hammontree has been Pinecrest's Communications Manager since 2013.  Previously, Ms. Hammontree served the City of Sweetwater, FL as its Communications Director (2012-2013), worked as a freelance writer for the Miami Herald (2006-2012) and worked as a digital media content producer for Univision online (2000-2003).  She is experienced in emergency and crisis operations and holds an Advanced Public Information Officer FEMA certification. Additionally, she is one of 200 public communicators in the United States to be accredited by the Texas Christian University Certified Public Communicator (CPC) program. Ms. Hammontree holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications and Print Journalism and a Master of Science in Global Strategic Communications from Florida International University.
