The Communications Division works under the Office of the Village Manager and is the division responsible for the Village's communication efforts.  The Communications Division connects, engages and unites the community through creative, accurate and innovative communication that enhances the Village’s brand. The division oversees the Village’s communication strategies including digital content, website development, social media outreach and management, creative services, photography and videography.

Ivette Diaz

Ivette Diaz was appointed Communications Manager for the Village of Pinecrest in May 2026. With an extensive background in government communications, public information, and public relations, she leads the Village's external communications strategy, public engagement, and media relations.

Prior to joining Pinecrest, Ms. Diaz served as Public Information Officer for several local municipalities and held public relations leadership roles with major healthcare organizations, including The Public Health Trust and Jackson/UM Health System.

Throughout her career, Ms. Diaz has worked with government agencies and nonprofit organizations in Florida and nationwide, including the National Civic League, Miami-Dade Days, and the Miami-Dade League of Cities. Her experience spans strategic communications, community outreach, media relations, and public affairs.

Ms. Diaz earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a minor in Journalism from Florida International University and an Associate of Arts in Mass Communication from Miami Dade College. She launched her career through internships and part-time positions with BusinessWeek, Univision/WLTV 23, Metro Networks Radio, Natural Awakenings magazine, and community newspapers serving Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
