Pinecrest has updated the posted speed limit from 35 mph to 30 mph on select roads throughout the Village. The update is consistent with Sections 316.183 and 316.189, Florida Statutes, which establish a maximum speed limit of 30 mph in business and residential districts within municipalities.

The change also supports the Village’s ongoing efforts to promote safer, more consistent travel for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.

The new 30 mph speed limits are effective Monday, August 17.

The change applies to:
  • SW 72 Avenue from US 1 to SW 136 Street (Howard Drive)

  • SW 77 Avenue (Palmetto Road) from SW 104 Street to SW 136 Street

  • SW 67 Avenue (Ludlam Road) from SW 88 Street (Kendall Drive) to SW 136 Street

  • SW 104 Street (Lombardy Street) from SW 57 Avenue (Red Road) to US 1

  • SW 120 Street (Montgomery Drive) from SW 57 Avenue (Red Road) to US 1

  • SW 124 Street/Chapman Field Drive from US 1 to Old Cutler Road

  • Killian Drive (SW 112 Street/SW 111 Street) from US 1 to SW 57 Avenue

New 30 mph signs are replacing the existing 35 mph signs along the affected roadways.
