Planning Our Future: Comprehensive Development Master Plan Update

The Village of Pinecrest is currently updating its Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP). This is simply the "blueprint" that guides our community's future decisions.

The Village is launching this update to comply with the State of Florida requirements and to reaffirm the core values that make Pinecrest a special place to live.

What is the Comprehensive Development Master Plan?

The Comprehensive Plan is the foundation for our community’s growth. It is a policy document that sets the long-term rules for how land is used, how we handle traffic, how we protect our environment, and how we maintain our parks. It guides the decisions made by your elected officials to ensure our quality of life is preserved and enhanced.

Why are we updating it now?

Florida law requires local governments to maintain and update these plans to guide future growth. Our last complete update was in 2016, with a review in 2018.

This current review and update of the Village’s Comprehensive Plan is required to ensure that it complies with current state legislative requirements.

What is the goal?

The primary goal is to preserve Pinecrest’s unique character. This update is not expected to bring significant changes to our current goals. It will refresh our data, meet statutory requirements, and better support the Village Council's Strategic 5-year Plan.

To ensure this plan reflects the community, the Village is conducting a resident survey.

Your feedback in this survey will directly influence how we manage future growth, maintain our parks, and promote environmental sustainability.
