Flood Protection

The Village of Pinecrest promotes sound and effective Floodplain Management within the Village limits including the promotion of public awareness about natural disasters and the benefits of participation in the National Flood Insurance Program. The Village's intent is to reduce flood losses in accordance with the Floodplain Ordinance and participate in the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Community Rating System (CRS) to lower insurance premiums for residents. Village staff works closely with residents, contractors, businesses, local, state, and federal agencies to facilitate cooperation and the exchange of information on floodplain management issues.

You can use our interactive tool to look up property information including flood zone classifications and to view elevation certificates available for the property.

Step 1.Go to our GIS Flood Zone Viewer

Step 2.Type in your address in the search field that says Find Flood Zone Near Me

Step 3.Once address is located, look to the right hand navigation and you will see designation of flood hazard for that address.  If the property has elevation certificates they will also be listed.
