Mayor Joseph Corradino recently delivered the annual State of the Village address, reflecting on Pinecrest’s nearly 30 years of incorporation and how far the community has evolved since 1996. What began as a neighborhood with limited infrastructure, few sidewalks and minimal public services is now a thriving, well-planned Village with lush parks, strong zoning protections and one of the highest qualities of life in Florida. The Mayor emphasized that this progress stems from two core principles: preserving Pinecrest’s character and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Mayor Corradino shared updates on key Village priorities. Crime is 65 percent lower than at incorporation, and police response times now average just over two minutes. The Village’s potable water expansion is complete, and the electrical undergrounding program is in its final stages. Pinecrest continues to invest in mobility and safety improvements, expand its tree canopy and upgrade parks to meet the needs of families today.

This year, Pinecrest also received environmental awards from the Florida League of Cities and the International City/County Management Association. These recognitions reflect years of sustainability work, including composting efforts, water quality improvements and expanded green corridors.

Pinecrest was again ranked among the best places to live and raise a family in Florida, highlighting the Village’s commitment to thoughtful planning and strong public services. New digital tools, including Pinestein, our AI-powered service assistant, now make it even easier for residents to connect with Village Hall.
