Pinecrest Wins FMCA Best In-House Marketing Award
Published on May 20, 2024
The Florida Municipal Communicators Association (FMCA), a professional network of individuals providing communications leadership and support to Florida’s cities, towns, and villages, announced the Village of Pinecrest won the 2024 Outstanding Award for Best In-house Marketing Campaign.
Pinecrest won for the promotion of the 2023 Zombie Run held by the Parks and Recreation Department. The communications division supports all Village departments.
“We are extremely proud to receive this award. It would not have been possible to create the campaign without the extraordinary help of the community, elected officials, staff, and Village Manager Yocelyn Galiano, who supports the communication division’s highly creative vision,” said Michelle Hammontree, Communications Manager.
The marketing campaign consisted of a video production, organic and paid social media, and an email drip campaign. The video production included storyboarding, casting, and post-production. The drip email campaign had an open rate of 58% and a click-through rate of 4%. It reached some 10,000 residents during the promotional period.
“We applaud the remarkable achievements of our award winners who have gone above and beyond to connect with residents and empower them with information,” said newly installed FMCA President Kevin Hogencamp, Deputy City Manager for the City of Atlantic Beach. “Effective communication remains the cornerstone of resilient communities. The recipients of this year’s FMCA Outstanding Awards have demonstrated exceptional dedication and innovation in their communication efforts, and their commitment to excellence inspires us all.”
The Zombie Run will be back this year. Stay tuned to all Village channels for the date and theme.
