Honoring Those Who Served. Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom.

On September 10, our community came together for the ribbon cutting of the newly renovated Veterans Wayside Park, a beautiful space created to honor the men and women who have served our nation.

 

The celebration also included the unveiling of a special commemorative marker honoring the 250th anniversary of the founding of our great nation and the generations of Americans who fought and sacrificed to preserve our freedom.

 

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Coral Gables Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for sponsoring this meaningful marker. The effort was led by several Pinecrest residents who are members of the Coral Gables Chapter, with fellow DAR members who joined us for this memorable occasion.

 

The marker serves as a lasting reminder that our community remembers all veterans, from those who served in the American Revolution, to the brave men and women who have served our country through today.
