Village Council Honored Mayor Corradino at His Final Meeting

The Village Council held its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, and the evening belonged to Mayor Joe Corradino, who presided over his final Council meeting as his term comes to an end after 24 years of service to Pinecrest.

The Mayor thanked residents, fellow Council members and staff, then turned to his family. His wife, son and daughter stood by him as he presented them with a Proclamation dedicated to his wife, thanking her for supporting him throughout his years of service. Village staff then presented the outgoing Mayor with a crystal gavel in gratitude for his many years of service and dedication to Pinecrest.

Mayor Corradino was elected as the Village's fourth mayor in 2016 and was re-elected without opposition in 2020. Before becoming Mayor, he served on the Village Council from 2006 to 2014 and spent four years on the Planning and Zoning Board.

The meeting also featured special presentations, including a recognition of the Village's Code Compliance team for their work during National Code Enforcement Appreciation Month and a presentation on the Safe Streets For All (SS4A) initiative. The Council also took up the Native Plant of the Month, reserved parking spaces for electric and hybrid vehicles at the Community Center, slippery sidewalks, the curb and gutter on SW 67th Avenue, and leaf blowers.

A live stream video link with the recording of the meeting is available.
