Gary Matzner Park
On March 9, 2021, the Village Council approved the acquisition of the 3.76 acre two-parcel site (formerly known as the Palermo Property) located on the southeast corner of Kendall Drive between 67 Avenue and 65 Court.
The Village Council's action preserves this much needed open space. The size of the combined properties and their location near the more densely populated multi-family district in northwest Pinecrest makes it an ideal site for additional green space. On May 9, 2023, the Village Council approved a concept for the future development of Gary Matzner Park.
