The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) has issued a Water Shortage Warning as groundwater levels in the Biscayne Aquifer have dropped to the lower 10th percentile.

While the SFWMD is currently requesting voluntary conservation, taking action now is the most effective way to help our region avoid mandatory restrictions later this year.
Residents are encouraged to follow SFWMD's recommendation to water only once per week during the cooler months, which can reduce outdoor water bills by up to 50%.
SFWMD recommends that irrigation timers be checked and leaks be fixed now to prevent water waste and protect your property from potential dry-season damage.
