At the September 10 meeting, the Village Council took action on several ordinances and resolutions, approving some measures while deferring or denying others. Among the decisions were approval of professional engineering services, and the tentative millage rate and 2026–2027 operating and capital budget, while decisions on the Pinecrest Farmers Market, emergency tree removal, and changes to the operations of Pinecrest Gardens were postponed or sent back for revision.

The Council also supported several community initiatives, including Hunger Action Month, and Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

  • Farmers Market Operations & Management Deferred to the September 22, 2026 Special Council Meeting - A resolution authorizing the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with Miami Culinary Kitchen to manage and operate the Pinecrest Gardens' Farmers Market. Learn more at Tab 2

  • Pinecrest Gardens Emergency Tree Removal Deferred- A resolution authorizing the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with Big Ron’s Tree Removal for Pinecrest Gardens' emergency tree removal. Learn more at Tab 4

  • Professional Engineering Services – Stantec Approved - A resolution authorizing the Village Manager to enter into a contract with Stantec Consulting Services, Inc., to piggyback on their contract, for professional engineering services. Learn more at Tab 8

  • Repeal of Resolution No. 2002-04 Denied - Will hear a revised resolution at the December 2026 Council Meeting - A resolution repealing Resolution No. 2002-04 to provide greater operational flexibility for Pinecrest Gardens and opportunities to generate revenue and reduce reliance on General Fund support.   • Adoption of Tentative Millage Rate Approved - A resolution adopting the tentative millage rate of the Village of Pinecrest for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 2026, pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065 (TRIM Bill); setting a date for a final public hearing to adopt the final millage rate; providing for publication of public notice.   • Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Operating and Capital Outlay Budget (First Reading)Approved on first reading - An ordinance adopting an operating and capital outlay budget for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065 (TRIM Bill); updating the capital improvement schedule.
