Pinecrest made history on March 20, 2025, as it was officially recognized as the nation's first City of Happiness during the World Happiness Day celebrations. Mayor Joseph M. Corradino received this prestigious honor from Luis Gallardo, founder of the World Happiness Foundation, marking a significant milestone in the Village’s commitment to fostering happiness and well-being among its residents.

The two-day World Happiness Fest, held at Pinecrest Gardens on March 20-21, 2025, was a vibrant celebration of this achievement. The event featured a diverse array of activities and presentations designed to promote happiness, well-being, and community connection:

Inspiring Panels: Councilmembers participated in thought-provoking discussions, including:

   - Women Leaders Cultivating Happiness and Resilience

   - Roots of Happiness: Building Community and Friendships through Volunteerism

   - Strengthening Community Well-Being: A New Era of Collective Happiness

Musical Highlights: 

   - A captivating concert by Nilo de Monte, which culminated in an interactive finale where attendees joined the artist on stage to learn his signature dance moves.

   - An electrifying evening dance party featuring DJ E-Feezy, bringing the community together through music and movement.

Immersive Experiences: The festival offered a range of activities including yoga sessions, sound healing workshops, art therapy, and forest bathing, providing attendees with tools for mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

Networking Opportunities: A special luncheon allowed participants to connect with changemakers and thought leaders in the field of happiness and well-being.

Art and Culture: The event featured a Happy Arts exhibition celebrating Pinecrest's pioneering role in the global happiness movement.
