The Village Council discussed the following actions during the July Council Meeting: 

  • Farmers Market Management Approved - A resolution authorizing the Village Manager to negotiate an agreement with Miami Culinary Kitchen to manage and operate the Pinecrest Farmers Market. Tab 2

  • Pinecrest Elementary PTA Event Fee Waiver Approved - A resolution waiving park rental fees for the Pinecrest Elementary School PTA's annual Opening of School event at Evelyn Greer Park on August 10. Tab 3

  • Coral Pine Park Preserve Restoration Approved - A resolution authorizing the Village Manager to enter into a contract with The Institute for Regional Conversation for Phase 1 of the Coral Pine Park Preserve Restoration Plan to support habitat restoration and environmental conservation. Tab 4

  • S.W. 124 St./Chapman Field Bridge Repair Project Approved - A resolution authorizing the Village Manager to accept a proposal from Metric Engineering, Inc. for construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services for the S.W. 124 St./Chapman Field Bridge Repair Project. Tab 5(PDF, 172KB)

  • Land Development Regulations Update (Second Reading)Approved - An ordinance on a comprehensive update to Chapter 30 of the Village Code, which governs land development regulations, zoning, development procedures, environmental regulations, signage, and related standards. This item was previously deferred from the May 5 and June 11 Council meetings. Tab 6

  • Tentative FY 2026–2027 Millage Rate Approved - A resolution setting the tentative property tax (millage) rate for Fiscal Year 2026–2027 at 2.6041 and setting the dates for the required public budget hearings for September 10 and September 22.Tab 13

  • Economic Development Council Support Approved - A resolution expressing support for the Economic Development Council of South Miami-Dade and its 2026 South Miami-Dade Competitive Assessment. Tab 14

  • Transportation Assessment Study Approved - A resolution authorizing the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with Bowman for a Village-wide transportation assessment study to evaluate current conditions and help guide future mobility improvements. Tab15
