The Pinecrest Parks and Recreation Department is in an elite group of 214 agencies out of over 10,0000 nationwide to receive national accreditation. That puts the department in the top 2% of parks departments nationwide. This accreditation is the gold standard for parks and recreation agencies. The Village of Happiness Report is Here

In March 2024, Pinecrest launched the Happy Pinecrest People Initiative (HaPPI) in partnership with the World Happiness Foundation. More than 350 residents engaged in strategic workshops, focus groups and resident surveys to help our community gain a deeper understanding of what contributes to happiness in Pinecrest. 73% of residents report being happy. The new text system complements the Building and Planning Department's existing options for scheduling inspections online or by phone by allowing users to schedule inspections using text messaging.

Pinecrest Receives $280K Safe Streets Grant

The Village of Pinecrest is proud to announce it has been awarded a $280,000 grant through the federal Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program. This significant funding will support the development of Pinecrest’s Comprehensive Safety Action Plan, which aims to enhance road safety and reduce traffic-related injuries and fatalities.
